Some impacts of our ongoing project
  • Eminent Human Rights Activists of the country have been extending support to the SEVAC team to sensitize the Policy makers to adopt short term and long term policies for the cause of the mental patients

  • Subhuman living condition of the mental patients who are housed in Jails & other Correctional Institutions has been revealed

  • A MODEL in respect of GO and NGO collaboration for the status development of the mental patients of Jails and Vagrant Homes has been established

  • National Network of Human Rights and Mental Health has been constituted to motivate the NGOs to work for the promotion of mental health & human rights of the vulnerable groups

  • The Media, both Electronics and Print, are highlighting the theme of the SEVAC project

PROJECT: Operation Oasis
aims at identification, treatment and restoration of the Mental Patients languishing in Prisons/ Custodial Homes.
Implemented with the support of, NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION

PROJECT: Operation Dignity
aims at spreading Mental Health Education and strengthening Advocacy for the human rights promotion of the persons with mental illness
Implemented with the support of Irish Aid (formerly known as Development Cooperation Ireland)

PROJECT: Needs Assessment for Rehabilitation
aims at the identification of basic needs of rehabilitation for the Female Mental Patients
Implemented with the support of National Commission for Women
